UPDATE: The interview went great yesterday, but I've been having trouble all day uploading the podcast to either this website, or to Imeem for streaming. I'm thinking that there was an error in the bounce to MP3 and the file is corrupt, so I'm going to have to wait until tomorrow to get back up on an HD rig to fix the issue. I'll post the interview as soon as I can tomorrow...
If everything goes according to plan, I'll be interviewing Matthew Robison tomorrow (Wednesday) on Broken Wave Music Radio 1. This will be a short interview (15 mins or so) and will not have streaming video, so if you've been watching the radio show via the Mogulus link, you'll have to listen in on Studio 365 instead, here. We will be recording the interview and making it available as a podcast on the Broken Wave Website, and I'll put a link up to it here later tomorrow night.
Matthew Robison's film, "We Fun" will be making its debut next week on Pitchfork.tv on their weekly feature spotlight "One Week Only". The film focuses on the burgeoning Atlanta, GA music scene and looks at what it takes to create a scene (artists who don't compromise, venues who support those artists, and most importantly, a community of fans that love and promote the music). "We Fun" features influential indie artists such as Mastadon, Deerhunter, Black Lips, and King Khan and the Shrines among many others. Check out the trailer for "We Fun" below...
Robison's last film, "Silver Jew" followed Dave Berman and the Silver Jews around during their shows in Tel Aviv, Israel. That had to have been intense! Dave Berman does not mess around.
