A super group consisting of Conor Oberst (Bright Eyes), M. Ward (She & Him), Mike Mogis (Bright Eyes, produced albums for many Saddle Creek artists), and Yim Yames (My Morning Jacket). You might be asking what the f did you just say? No, I did not stutter. They have 3 songs, "Dear God", "The Sandman, The Brakeman, and Me", and "Say Please" out on ITunes now. All 3 of these gorgeous songs will be on their debut album coming out September 22, 2009. A super group with this much talent can sometimes fall short of their anticipation. After listening to their already released songs, the hype is worthy of praise. There is no definitive ham of the group fighting to be the lead. A diverse few songs letting each member reveal themselves separately without letting their egos get in the way. Their exciting September album release could quite be one of the best albums of the year. A must see live show that of course isn't coming to Tejas.
